All we want for Christmas is a stable future!

350Seattle.org

Lorelei --

Right now, sixty Seattle residents are laying a fifty-foot long pipeline and staging a simulated oil spill in the lobby of JPMorgan Chase's PNW HQ.

Can you help us amplify the action by sharing this Facebook post and this tweet?

Today Chase will renew a $1.5 billion loan to TransCanada, the climate-wrecking corporation seeking to bulldoze a Unis'to'ten healing center to lay a fracked gas pipeline. For far too long, Chase has funded corporations that lay pipelines through indigenous communities without consent. Now they're getting a taste of their own medicine.

Inside the lobby, our indigenous friends have erected a ten-foot tarpee and, outside, activists have unfurled three huge banners highlighting Chase's role in the climate crisis. The largest banner calls on the JPMorgan Chase PNW Chair, Phyllis Campbell, to do everything in her power to ensure Chase stops funding climate disaster.

We have taken the extraordinary step of naming Campbell because she is the most powerful employee in the Pacific Northwest, and we understand that corporations are not people ― but that people are responsible for the decision corporations make.

Can you help us get our message across by taking sixty seconds to send Phyllis Campbell an email?

We believe that Phyllis Campbell is a good person. She was the CEO of the Seattle Foundation for years, and she believes in the power of charitable works. But with power comes responsibility ― and we are asking her to do everything in her power to ensure that JPMorgan Chase's investments are benefiting communities, not destroying them.

Please help us send a message to JPMorgan Chase and Phyllis Campbell that funding climate disaster is not acceptable business practice.

In solidarity,
Alec for 350 Seattle

PS 350 Seattle still needs $3k in donations before December 31st in order to meet the full $20K match offered generously (and anonymously). Can you help support 350 Seattle's bold climate work?
