Cupcakes and climate?

Lorelei --

Okay, okay, we know: this isn't exactly our most badass action. However, sometimes we catch more flies with cupcakes than with vinegar, and we need to urge Governor Inslee to join us in rising to this moment as we've never risen before.

The Governor celebrates his 68th birthday this week. As our "green governor," we want to wish him a happy birthday and send him a birthday wish: make clean energy decisions that protect our health, safety, and climate—don't lock us into dirty fracked gas export and infrastructure.

Join us at a birthday rally for Governor Inslee and against dirty fracked gas projects threatening Washington State! We'll also deliver over 130,000 public comments to the Governor's Office opposing dirty fracked gas projects....and eat cupcakes!

When: February 12, 2019, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (If you can stay later, at 3:30 there is likely a hearing for a bill to address methanol leakage during infrastructure planning)
Where: Washington State Capitol Building, north steps, 416 Sid Snyder Ave SW, Olympia
RSVP: Click here to RSVP and here for carpool information
Bonus: Cupcakes and Power Past Fracked Gas shirts for everyone!

Let's celebrate Governor Inslee's birthday and send a powerful, clean energy birthday-wish message!!

See you on February 12!

Because blockades aren't right for every moment,
Stacy

P.S. Make sure your friends and family know about this event! Forward this email and RSVP to the Facebook event, too. And don't forget to send our "climate champion" email to the Governor!
