The Green New Deal needs you this week!

Lorelei -- In a few days, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will release legislation for a Green New Deal. Want to know more and pitch in? There are two events this week to help you get involved. Can you join one or both? On Tuesday we're teaming up with Sunrise Seattle to host Watch Parties where young leaders of the Sunrise Movement will reveal the plan to elect a candidate who supports the Green New Deal in 2020 and make it law in 2021. There will be hundreds of Watch Parties across the country to learn what we can do right now to build support for the Green New Deal, and prepare for upcoming actions. Throughout the week, we'll be delivering thousands of petitions to Members of Congress in the Seattle area, asking them to be climate leaders and support the Green New Deal. Put in your zipcode to find and RSVP for the event at your Representative's office. This is the best opportunity we've had to take meaningful national action on the climate crisis.
