A Sunrise for a Green New Deal?

Lorelei -- Perhaps you saw the powerful and inspiring action by the Sunrise Movement and Justice Democrats last Tuesday in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office, demanding bold climate action — a Green New Deal. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, working with Sunrise and the Justice Democrats, has drafted a resolution that calls for a Select Committee of Congressional Representatives to develop a detailed national, industrial, economic mobilization plan to transform the US into a green economy. Several Congressional representatives have already signed onto this resolution, but Representative Pramila Jayapal—a progressive champion who understands the threats of climate change—hasn't yet done so. We need unity and momentum now. Please call her TODAY, Tuesday, November 20th, to urge her to join the chorus demanding a Green New Deal. Sunrise is asking for nationally coordinated calls today.
