Re: Resist. Delay. Win.

Empower thousands to turn up the pressure on the fossil fuel industry.

Dear Lorelei,

I want to make sure you saw my email from Friday, below. We're ramping up our plans to fight the Keystone XL pipeline and fossil fuel projects across the country. Our plans can hit Big Oil where it hurts: their financial bottom line -- but we need your help.

Will you donate to make these ambitious plans possible?

Thank you again,

Kendall

A week ago, we received the amazing news that a judge blocked the presidential permit for the Keystone XL pipeline. But past experience tells us that it's only a matter of time before the Trump administration tries, yet again, to bring this zombie pipeline back from the dead.

Protecting this victory is so much bigger than one pipeline. Keystone XL has become the highest profile, most visible place where we can show the fossil fuel industry that we're ready to resist and delay any and all new fossil fuel projects. That's why in the coming months, we're going to work with Indigenous partners to take the power of the Promise to Protect to a new level, and we need your support to make that happen.

With our partners, we plan to train thousands of activists in creative non-violent resistance and prepare them to resist and delay every project the fossil fuel industry proposes. This will be a critical step to transition off fossil fuels to a just, 100% renewable energy future we need.

Lorelei, your action this past month has already helped us build a surge of momentum. Will you take one more step and make a gift to expand and embolden our resistance?

Your gift will help us to:

  • Train and prepare thousands of people who have committed to take direct action at the pipeline site when called by Indigenous leaders.
  • Plan similar resistance to other pipelines.
  • Empower those same activists to take these learnings back their communities to block any future dirty energy projects.

The ups and downs of the last few weeks have been relentless but clarifying. We know that people power can elect an unprecedented, diverse new class of public officials, but also that millions in fossil fuel money can defeat the climate initiatives we need.

We've seen our movement take bold, creative action for climate justice, but know that the fossil fuel industry will spare nothing to protect their profits.

This is a hard fight, but it's one we believe will make a big difference in our lives and for the future of those we love. Can you join us and make a gift today?

Thank you,

Kendall
