How can you fight for a Green New Deal?

More than 1,000 young people are on Capitol Hill right now demanding a Green New Deal.

Lorelei,

Right now, thousands of young people are taking action in DC and across the country to call on Congress to support a Green New Deal. It's truly incredible: there are more than 1,000 people on Capitol Hill right now. This is what real momentum looks like.

We have the power to make a Green New Deal a reality — we just need a critical mass of Congresspeople to support it.

That's where you come in. With young people taking action at Congressional offices around the country, our elected leaders are paying close attention.

Call your member of Congress today: demand they support a Green New Deal to create millions of good jobs building the transition to 100% renewable energy that science and justice demand.

Young folks led by our friends at Sunrise Movement are taking action in DC to demand a Green New Deal right now.

Just two months ago, the political media was warning that climate change was unlikely to be a big part of Congress's agenda next year. But now, 22 Representatives — and counting — have announced their support for a sweeping policy program to transform our economy to fight the climate crisis and help all of us thrive.

People power — you — made that shift happen. Now, let's keep this momentum up.

Support the young leaders taking action today: call your member of Congress and demand they support a Green New Deal to avert the worst impacts of climate change and create millions of good jobs.

After today's actions, I can't wait to keep the pressure up in the New Year: we're hatching big plans for January to show just how massive and energized this movement for real climate leadership is. You'll be among the first to know where to sign up.

Here's the bottom line: a Green New Deal is the only policy solution on the table that's bold enough to address the scale of the climate crisis on the narrow timeline science shows we have remaining.

To make it happen, we still have a big fight ahead. But with big plans ahead and so much power on our side, I believe more than ever it's a fight we're going to win.

Climate justice and a Green New Deal are within our reach. Click here to call your member of Congress today.

Onward,

Katie
