Tell King County today: fossil fuels are for dinosaurs

350Seattle.org

Lorelei --

Here in King County, we're on the verge of passing the most aggressive anti-fossil fuel infrastructure legislation in the U.S.

In 9 days, King County Council Member Upthegrove will introduce the #FossilFreeKC ordinance, to prevent all new fossil fuel infrastructure, like major pipeline expansions and new oil terminals. We know that it's time—a clean energy future is our only future, and we have to build for the world we want, not one that locks us in to decades of climate-devastating pollution.

But we also know that fossil fuel-loving utilities, like Puget Sound Energy, will fight this tooth-and-nail ― and so we need to fight to make sure it passes.

Can you take a few seconds to send a letter to the King County Council, asking them to vote YES on the #FossilFreeKC ordinance?

Imagine what an impact it will make when Councilmembers open up their emails on Monday morning to see hundreds of messages calling for a Fossil Free King County - send your letter now!

In solidarity,
Jess Wallach, 350 Seattle

P.S. Keep the momentum building - sign and share our petition calling on King County leaders to support fossil fuel free legislation!
